Hello everyone! Foksey is here!
I know we’re a bit late to cover the topic, as 99% of you have probably already played Season 6 of Apex Legends (released August 18th). But anyway, some free tips from our PRO players can never hurt. So, I’m sure you’ll love today's article, put together with the help of BEKONX, who you can book a gaming session with here:
One of the most noticeable in-game changes is that every player starts with an empty EVO-shield. The only standard shield left in the whole game is the golden one. Therefore, sniper rifles are now super effective, since there’s no better way to upgrade your shield. Especially if you’ll find a Triple Take (TT) which now has a switchable Choke effect by default.
If you’re unlucky in looting and haven’t grabbed yourself a TT, any other sniper rifle will do. Here’s a list in descending order in terms of effectiveness: TT, Charge Rifle, Sentinel, Longbow.
Definitely check out the brand new crafting stations that are randomly scattered across the map. Their locations can be marked by pressing F1 during the drop-off phase. Crafting stations can be used to create a lot of different items like med-kits, ammo, scopes, backpacks, and a whole bunch more. They utilize a new currency known as crafting materials. Players can see their current amounts in the top-right corner of the screen. Crafting materials can be obtained in small amounts by opening supply bins and grabbing large capsules that are randomly scarred across the map.
Legends also saw some changes in this season! Bloodhound and Crypto can now use survey beacons too, just like Pathfinder. Moreso, Crypto can use survey and respawn beacons with his drone. On top of that, the drone activates them immediately!
There are also some Predator pick changes in terms of legends. Top picks currently being Wraith, Bloodhound, and one of four: Lifeline, Pathfinder, Revenant, or Crypto. Here’s a note on picking Bloodhound: while his ultimate is active, Q can be spammed every 5-6 seconds, which is extremely powerful atm. I haven’t even mentioned the Rampart legend yet!
And that's because she isn’t very good in terms of assisting teammates. BEKONX says she’s about on par with Loba, also not a preferred pick at higher ranks. So, select the right legends, learn how to play them, and watch your success rate grow in no time! Oh, and let’s not forget those ring locations are now even more random, making survey beacons quite handy :)
Let’s talk a bit about gun picks. The basic picks are an R-301 or Flatline with a 2X scope. Or the new Volt gun, which is actually quite good! Great recoil, awesome fire rate, and damage. Highly recommended. For the second slot, we recommend picking up a sniper rifle or a Mastiff shotgun.
That’s it for today! We hope that you’ve learned something new and useful from this article :) If you want to get more tips on how to become better at Apex Legends or are looking for some coaching, follow this link:
